Acrylic Paintings

" LakeCity" (Sold)
8"x10" Acrylic on canvas board 2010

I used pallet knives and brushed over the reflection.
This is an imaginary cityscape in primary color style.

" LakeCity II"
11"x14" Acrylic on hardboard 2011

I used only pallet knives on this second imaginary
cityscape adding buildings to the city and experimenting on the
reflection effects. I tried to develop the colorful ripples natural visual
growth as they near the foreground.

" Red for Scarlett"
(2)12"x 36" Acrylic on canvas panels 2011

Red for Scarlett is simply an abstract floral painting I painted to
complement the colors in our living room. The canvases have heavy
textures and ghost images remaining from the under paintings I covered.

"Floral Window"
16"x20" Acrylic on canvas 2008

Floral Window is a second abstract window image I painted
shortly after my first painting " Boastful Blossoms"

"Boastful Blossoms"
16" x 20" Acrylic on canvas 2008

This is the painting that resulted from the boast that I could paint a
better picture than a painting my wife Cheryl thought she wanted to buy for our bedroom after we changed the color scheme of the room.

"Abstract Sunset"
16" x 20" Acrylic on canvas 2009

"Bold Cityscape 2"
24" x 36" Acrylic on canvas 2009

This is the second of two nearly Identical palette knife paintings
I did to add bright colors to our living room. I wanted something modern
and thought that city sky scrapers have always been an icon of the
modern age.I particularly liked the stormy sky and abstract mountains
behind the city which set the mood for me while I blocked in the buildings.

"Fragments of Autumn"
24" x 36" Acrylic on canvas 2011

This is one of my personal favorites.
This painting has been several other paintings in it's past, they're
under there, trust me. What started out to be an abstract background
for an idea I had, just took over the canvas and my imagination.  Every
time I stop and look at this painting I find something that quite honestly, I had not planned out, they are just there. To me this painting is like clouds in the sky, the longer I look the more I see and the people standing next to me see something altogether different.

"Passionate Flames"
24" x 36" acrylic on canvas 2009

This is an image that was inspired by my lovely wife.  She picked the initial colors and the image I started with. The painting started out to be a floral image but over the course of several days the image turned into flames with several embedded objects and a pleasant mixture of color.
